This month’s release of data from Statistics Canada had some great headline numbers for the Canadian economy. The monthly labour force survey data had good news, with 55,000 new jobs created, all of which came from full-time employment. GDP numbers were quite positive this month: the economy was up 0.5 per cent in March and 3.2 per cent year-on-year.
