Statistics Canada’s releases over the past week seem to be filled with good news for the Canadian economy. The large number of new jobs added over the tail end of 2016 gave a noticeable boost to household disposable income, and consumers responded by increasing their spending. That helped the GDP grow for the fifth time in six months in December.
