With over 26 years of experience the occupational and environmental health field, Jennifer Richardson brings both expertise and a dynamic leadership style to her role as President and Managing Principal at CrossSafety. At the helm of HSE Consulting and Learning Services, she leads a team of skilled professionals specializing in engineering, industrial hygiene, and safety, while also overseeing the delivery of a comprehensive suite of health and safety training programs across Canada.
Before joining CrossSafety, Jennifer served as Director of Environment, Safety, and Employee Wellbeing at the Royal Canadian Mint, where she played an instrumental role in shaping the Mint’s employee and sustainability-centric culture. She also spent 13 years as Managing Director for the National Capital and Eastern Ontario region at Resource Environmental Associates, cementing her reputation as a trusted leader in the consulting industry.
With a degree in Biomedical Science from the University of Guelph and a Masters in Occupational and Environmental Health from the University of Toronto, Jennifer’s academic foundation is as strong as her professional experience. She holds the prestigious certifications of Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST) and Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH).
While Jennifer considers the development of the Royal Canadian Mint’s Mental Health Program a career highlight, she also proudly points to her greatest accomplishment: raising two spirited sons with her husband, who share her love of fishing, nature, and ice rinks.
Jennifer’s approach to work and life is rooted in the desire to have an impact—whether she’s ensuring workplace safety or spending quality time outdoors, she’s committed to making a difference wherever she goes.
