About

Dr. Jennifer Fane is an interdisciplinary scholar and educator whose work bridges education, social policy, and public health. Her research focuses on inclusion, equity, and diversity, with expertise in participatory methodologies and research with equity-deserving populations. She has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals and edited volumes, contributing to advancing inclusive and evidence-based practices in education, public health, and labour force participation.

Drawing on a career that spans roles as a teacher, professor, and director across public and non-profit sectors, Dr. Fane brings a practice-informed perspective to her research and teaching. This cross-sector experience informs her commitment to translating research into meaningful policy and practice that supports diverse communities. Prior to her current role, Dr. Fane held academic appointments at Capilano University, Simon Fraser University, and Flinders University in Australia. She has taught at both undergraduate and graduate levels in areas including health education, child development, and teacher education. Her work has been recognized with numerous awards, including the Australian National Citation for Outstanding Contributions to Student Learning, as well as multiple research grants.
