Jidny Shoummo is working as an Economist in the Economic Research team of Signal49 Research. He assists CoBC clients with various economic and data analyses.
Past Work Experience
Before joining Signal49 Research, Jidny worked as a Wildfire Research Economist (co-op student) at Natural Resources Canada, where he designed econometric models for forecasting wildfire suppression expenditures and measuring the health effects of wildfire smoke. Prior to NRCan, he worked for the B.C. Ministry of Education as a Data Research Scientist (co-op student), where he assisted school districts in designing policies with quantitative evidence.
He also worked as a Senior Analyst for BRAC (Bangladesh), where he evaluated the economic impact of their education, health and microfinance programs.
