Stein Monteiro is the Lead Research Associate in the Immigration Knowledge Area for Signal49 Research. In this role, Stein assists in providing insights on Canadian immigration policy issues and the integration outcomes of newcomers.

Prior to S49, Stein worked with the Canada Excellence Research Chair in Migration and Integration Program at Toronto Metropolitan University conducting research on the labour market integration of newcomers in Canada and the role of technology in assisting migrants to learn about life in Canada. Stein has worked several high impact funded projects for Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada and Horizon Europe.
