Methodology

Benefits Benchmarking summarizes the data from a biannual survey exploring workplace benefits including the availability of benefit offerings, benefits allowances across different employee groups, costs to the employer, modes of delivery, and benefits evaluation processes.

The survey is sent to Canadian organizations operating in a variety of regions, sectors, and industries. All data was analyzed using R and SPSS statistical software. Continuous variables that were skewed (e.g., maximum ($) coverage per year for psychological/mental health services) were cleaned to reduce skewness. This allowed for the use of statistics with normality assumptions to test for group differences
