About the Series
Keep your HR policies and offerings competitive.
HR Insights is a quarterly briefing series that explores innovative approaches to the execution and design of a common HR operation. Each briefing examines how organizations across Canada are designing, implementing, and evolving their HR practices. The analysis goes beyond surface-level comparisons to offer Canadian organizational benchmark data for adoption rates, types of offering, organizational design, communication, and execution. Key findings from the survey data highlight major trends, recommendations, and best practices, letting HR teams see what other organizations are doing to help them bolster their own programs.
Recent topics have included adaptive recruitment strategies, perks, diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) in recruitment and training, and evolving workplace flexibility practices.
Whether you’re looking to stay competitive, refine your strategies, or adopt new approaches, HR Insights offers your entire HR team the evidence they need to make informed decisions.
How this series will help you:
- Access Canadian benchmarks to assess whether your HR policies and programs are competitive.
- Stay current with the latest HR innovations: see how other organizations implement and manage their practices to strengthen your own strategy.
The HR Metrics series has been produced since June 2006.
Methodology
HR Insights summarizes the data on a rotating topic related to HR operations collected in our quarterly HR Metrics Benchmarking survey. The other sections of the survey explore key HR themes including turnover, absenteeism, recruitment, and attraction and retention for the last quarter of business. For information on these themes, please see our HR Metrics Benchmarking report. The survey was sent to human resources professionals at Canadian organizations operating in a variety of regions, sectors, and industries. All data was analyzed using R and SPSS statistical software.
