Recruiting and retaining top talent is consistently among the top human resources priorities within Canadian organizations. Filling the Gaps examines the reasons why some organizations experience recruitment and retention challenges and considers the reasons why other organizations do not face such difficulties. The report has two main purposes: the first is to provide clarity regarding current recruitment and retention needs among Canadian organizations. The second purpose is to present an overview of methods being used within Canadian organizations to address these needs, and to measure the perceived effectiveness of these methods. The report quantifies and analyzes recruitment and retention challenges using data from Signal49 Research’s 2015 Compensation Planning Outlook survey of 382 predominantly large and medium-sized organizations.
