- Total housing starts hit their highest level in more than nine years (September 2007) in Canada in March.
- The CMAs with the biggest year-over-year declines in housing starts in March were Hamilton, Oshawa, Halifax, Kingston, and Victoria.
- Greater Sudbury had the biggest year-over-year increase in housing starts last month.
