- The worst appears over. Following two straight annual declines, real GDP growth will hit 1.5 per cent in 2017.
- Employment is forecast to rise 1.0 per cent in 2017 and a further 0.8 per cent in 2017; the unemployment rate will be little changed at 5.2 per cent in 2017 and 5.4 per cent in 2018.
- Net in-migration will ease in 2017 but remain historically decent.
