Forecasters surveyed by Signal49 Research in September have not changed their views significantly regarding Canada’s economic prospects for 2009. In the current survey, forecasters expect the economy to decline by 2.4 per cent in 2009— virtually identical to the 2.3 per cent drop in economic activity anticipated in the summer.
