Amarachi Nwamadi is the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Manager for The Home Depot Canada supporting associates across all locations. She is a strategic people and operations professional who is passionate about unleashing people’s ambitions and strengths and empowering those who are systemically underrepresented. She believes we should all lean into our strengths in service of humanity and we will be both happy and empower others to also experience happiness. Amarachi thinks of herself as an advocate for associate belonging and development. Amarachi has spent over a decade working in sales operations, management, leadership development, cross cultural communication, project management, supply chain analytics and most recently human resources.

Outside of work, she coaches newcomers to Canada and BIPOC talent as part of @that.career.girl and loves to read and travel as a lifelong learner and adventurer.  Amarachi holds an Honours Bachelor of Commerce, with an economics minor from McMaster University and has taken opportunities to learn about technology, talent and high performance, communications, entrepreneurship, storytelling and more. As part of the Council for Inclusive Workplaces she partners with other DEIB experts to  facilitate conversation and frameworks that support an inclusive organization.
