As Chief Operating Officer at Modern Niagara, Chris Hill’s priority is to build a consistent platform to support operational excellence across Canada. He oversees all aspects of Modern Niagara’s Health and Safety, People and Culture, and Communications. His team played a central role in Modern Niagara being named one of Canada’s Top 100 Employers in 2019 and 2020.

Chris has nearly two decades of experience dealing with diverse sets of human resource issues within the public sector realm. Most recently, he was the Director General, Labour Relations and Workplace Management at Correctional Service Canada.

Chris is known for his leadership, passion, and ability to mobilize teams in fast-paced and complex working environments, perhaps no surprise for an individual who started his career as a Parole Officer and former Director of Security Operations for the federal correctional system.
