Lesley MacDonald (She/Her) is the program manager for BC Hydro’s Inclusion, Diversity, Equity and Accessibility (IDEA) program. Lesley is responsible for the strategy, design and implementation of the IDEA program across BC Hydro’s workforce of 7,500 employees. She has been working in workplace culture, specifically on inclusion & diversity, at BC Hydro for the last 13 years. Her approach to IDEA uses human-centered, inclusive design to create context-specific training, tools and resources. She believes that we are all growing and learning about this work together. Her background is in communications and project and change management. She lives and works in Vancouver, on the unceded traditional territory of the Musqueam (mus-kwee-um), Squamish and Tsleil-Waututh (tSLAY-wah-tooth) First Nations. In her spare time, she reads, writes and gardens. Her current read is about psychological safety, the book “Right Kind of Wrong” by Amy Edmondson.
