Liesel Reimer is the Director, People Development for the Ministry of Citizens’ Services. She has a BA in Child and Youth Care and an MA in Conflict Analysis and Management. She oversees mental health and well-being, occupational health and safety, and learning and leadership for the ministry. During her five years with the BC Public Service, Liesel has partnered with the Public Service Agency to establish organization-wide mental health and well-being programming. Prior to joining the public service, she was a mental health educator, teaching programs such as Mental Health First Aid and Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST). She also spent 13 years working in community development in Ireland. Liesel takes care of her own mental health by getting out on hiking and snowshoe trails around the South Okanagan, hosting dinner parties with friends, and knitting.
