Erin Macpherson joined Signal49 Research in December 2019 and has since contributed to over 40 research outputs related to Canadian education, skills, and employment policies, including projects on social and emotional skills, Northern labour market development, and Indigenous representation in STEM fields. Erin is skilled in qualitative and mixed methods analysis, including interviews, focus groups, and literature reviews. She has extensive experience in knowledge mobilization and convening, having produced three seasons of the Future Skills podcast and managed the Canadian Council of College Futures. As a part of this work, Erin facilitated conversations between senior college leaders and thought leaders in industry, government, and not-for-profit organizations to advance topics important to the Canadian post-secondary sector.

Prior to joining Signal49, Erin worked at Let’s Talk Science, an award-winning national charity, where she developed and delivered staff training, managed organizational partnerships, and oversaw outreach programs that engaged youth across Canada in STEM. She holds a Project Management Professional (PMP) designation and has a certificate in Adult Learning and Development from the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (OISE) at the University of Toronto.
