About
Khurram Makhdumi joined Signal49 Research as an Economist in February 2025. With over six years of research and teaching experience in academia, he has designed and led various graduate & undergraduate courses in Mathematics, Economics, Statistics & Finance at Fordham University, NY and Columbia University, NY. His commitment to academic excellence has been recognized through awards such as the International Fulbright Scholarship and Teaching Fellowship at Fordham University.
His research interests include Macro & International Economics, Applied Econometrics, Machine Learning, and Data Science. Khurram has also worked on software development, automation, and data analytics. His technical skills include Python, R, Java, PostgreSQL, MATLAB and Tableau and he has applied them in projects ranging from automating job application process with PSQL and Bash Scripting to developing machine learning models for handwritten digit classification. At Signal49 Research, Khurram has been involved in data modeling and economic research for various projects.
