The evidence is unequivocal—systematic changes in the global climate are occurring, and the changes can be seen at the global and local levels. These changes can produce regional and local impacts that put traditional patterns of economic activity and infrastructure at risk. At the same time, a warmer climate will lead to new opportunities. In Atlantic Canada, leading organizations have responded with strategies customized to the particular circumstances of the east coast of Canada.

Representatives from government and industry met in Halifax on March 25 and 26, 2009, to share insights on climate change adaptation in Atlantic Canada with Signal49 Research’s Leaders’ Roundtable on Climate Change Adaptation (LRCCA).
