- U.S. Economy—U.S. travellers are by far the largest group of visitors to Canada, accounting for almost 80 per cent of visitors. Strengthening disposable income in the U.S. will lead to more travel to Canada.
- Canadian Economy—Low consumer confidence, weak economic growth, and high debt burdens will prevent Canadians from travelling as much, both internationally and domestically.
