In 2018, organizations in Alberta expect to spend 12.0 per cent of total base pay spending on short-term incentive pay. Nationally, the cost of STIPs averaged 10.2 per cent of base pay in 2017 and is projected to increase to 10.7 per cent for 2018.
In 2017, 58 per cent of Alberta employees received a wage increase, and the voluntary turnover rate stood at 8.5 per cent.
