The Index of Consumer Confidence saw a minor recovery in March after two months of decline. Overall, the confidence remains elevated compared with 2017. Much of this month’s improvement was the result of more positive sentiment in Alberta respondents. Despite the improvement, Canadians overall are less optimistic about making purchases than they were last year and have become less optimistic about future job prospects.
