- A significant player in Canada’s private health-care sector is Medavie Blue Cross, a member of the Canadian Association of Blue Cross Plans. Among Medavie’s various health offerings is a suite of products and services for employers known as inHealth Solutions. Designed to “prevent disability and absenteeism and promote healthy lifestyles,” the inHealth Solutions include the @live Wellness Navigator; the inGood Health Enhanced Benefit Modules; the inConfidence Employee and Family Assistance Program; and the inConnection Attendance Support Program. The components are available separately or in combination, and can easily integrate into existing workplace wellness or disability management programs.
- This case study describes the attributes of the four inHealth Solutions; their impact on employers and employees; and the challenges of marketing the suite. It also analyzes the usefulness of the inHealth Solutions as a model for other organizational health products.
