- It has been another difficult year for most provinces, especially in terms of job creation and business investment.
- Economic prospects are much more positive going forward. Lagging provinces are performing better and will continue to make progress. The strongest economic growth next year will be in Manitoba with real GDP growth of 3 per cent.
- While the economy is improving in a number of provinces, fiscal pressures remain and will limit the public sector’s contribution to economic growth in the near term.
