La Belle Province Is Playing to Its Strengths

Travel volumes to Quebec are expected to improve in 2026 after a slowdown in U.S. visitors held back the province’s tourism industry in 2025. We expect overall visits to increase by 1.8 per cent in 2026, behind strong domestic and overseas (non-U.S.) visits.

Will growth be more widespread, as U.S. visits recover, domestic visits perform well, and overseas visits continue to run hot? Will Quebec be able to attract overseas visitors, an important market for the province? What will visits from the U.S. look like? How about domestic visits? Will the tourism price index in the province increase? And what does the picture look like for Montréal and Québec City?
