Federica Guccini is a Research Associate in the Immigration Knowledge Area for Signal49 Research. As a researcher, Federica offers evidence-based insights on Canadian immigration challenges to support policymakers, service providers, and community leaders in their decision-making. Her areas of expertise are multilingualism, linguistic and cultural diversity, and community-building.
Federica draws from over a decade of experience in academic research, specifically anthropology and migration studies, in Germany, the US, and Canada. She has extensive knowledge of community-oriented fieldwork as well as qualitative research methods and analysis. As a multilingual immigrant to Canada herself, Federica is passionate about improving language policies and services and fostering welcoming and equitable spaces for newcomers to Canada.
