About

As Director of Corporate Development, Heather leads strategic partnerships, enterprise-wide initiatives, and organizational transformation efforts that strengthen Signal49 Research’s impact and long-term sustainability. She advances institutional priorities by working across research, corporate engagement, and business operations. Her work focuses on building strategic alliances, mobilizing cross-sector partnerships, and developing frameworks that support performance, innovation, and growth. 

Before taking on this role, she led Signal49 Research’s Education and Skills portfolio, advancing research and partnerships on the future of work and learning. Earlier, she oversaw major workforce development and skills policy initiatives in the Office of the Vice-President, Research and Innovation, at Toronto Metropolitan University. She also received the International Development Research Centre’s 2016 Research Award in Technology and Innovation for her work on digital innovation and crisis response during the 2015 Nepal earthquakes.
