About

Jacob LeBlanc is a Senior Research Associate in the Indigenous & Northern Communities knowledge area. Since joining Signal49 Research in 2023, Jacob has worked extensively in the areas of labour market and immigration research. Jacob has conducted qualitative and quantitative research for S49, with experience in data analysis and visualization, and contributing written material for publications including case studies and issue briefings. Prior to his time at S49, Jacob worked as a researcher at Saint Mary’s University while completing his Master of Applied Economics degree. While working as a researcher, Jacob wrote a research paper for Divert NS that provided recommendations for waste management best practices in Nova Scotia, which included conducting interviews, compiling case studies, and analyzing collection data. Prior to beginning his Master’s, Jacob began his professional career working as a Research Assistant at the Atlantic Economic Council.
