Janine Knight-Grofe is the Director of Education and Skills at Signal49 Research. In this role, she advances research and insights that shape Canada’s education and skills development strategies. Her work centres on evidence-based, actionable solutions that help decision-makers address critical challenges in learning and skills development.

Prior to joining Signal49 Research, Janine served as Director of International Education at Durham College, where she led strategic initiatives to advance the college’s internationalization and global engagement plan. In this role, she collaborated with academic faculties, departments, leadership teams, and external stakeholders. Before Durham College, Janine held several roles at the Canadian Bureau for International Education (CBIE), including leading CBIE’s research initiatives.
