Janine Knight-Grofe is Director of Education & Skills and Immigration at Signal49 Research. She leads research and insights that help shape Canada’s education and skills development strategies. Her work focuses on evidence-based, practical solutions that help decision-makers address critical challenges in learning, skills development, and immigration.
Before joining Signal49 Research, Janine was Director of International Education at Durham College. In this role, she led strategic initiatives to advance the college’s internationalization and global engagement plan, working with academic faculties, departments, leadership teams, and external partners. Janine previously held several roles at the Canadian Bureau for International Education, including leading its research initiatives and spearheading the creation and delivery of the nationally accredited International Students and Immigration Education Program, which leads to the Regulated International Student Immigration Advisor (RISIA) designation held by International Student Advisors across the country.
