About

Michael Burt is Vice-President at Signal49 Research, where he leads a multidisciplinary team of more than 50 researchers and economists. He oversees the organization’s Economics, Education, and Health portfolios, guiding both convening and research activities. Michael also manages strategic initiatives, including our partnership with the Future Skills Centre and the acquisition of Vicinity Jobs.

Michael’s career spans more than two decades in research and leadership. Since joining Signal49 Research in 2004, he has moved progressively into more senior roles. He also previously worked as a Senior Economist at Moody’s Analytics in the United States, where he honed his expertise in economic analysis and forecasting. Michael’s areas of specialization include labour market insights, economic impact assessment, industry forecasting, and policy analysis.
