Inflation Expectations Firm as Energy Costs Rise

Canadians remain firm in their inflation expectations in April, with the average one-year inflation expectation up to 3.4 per cent and the average three-year inflation expectation climbing to 3.9 per cent from 3.7 per cent. Weaker economic growth and the continued increase in gasoline prices are driving these expectations.
