Compensation Planning Outlook is an annual survey on compensation and human resources practices in Canada conducted by Signal49 Research. In June 2016, a questionnaire was sent to 2,245 predominantly large and medium-sized Canadian organizations. A total of 383 respondents across Canada participated in the survey, including 185 respondents from Ontario. According to the Compensation Planning Outlook 2017 survey, the average pay increase for non-unionized employees in Ontario is projected to be 2.4 per cent in 2017—slightly above the expected inflation rate of 2.0 per cent.
