This report—the second of three in our most recent Human Resources Trends and Metrics series—focuses on trends and metrics relating to the HR function. The purpose of the report is to provide human resources and business leaders with detailed and comprehensive benchmark findings and insights relating to the role of the HR function. The data are presented in the context of HR strategic considerations, the changing role of the HR function itself, and human resources and labour market trends.
The report includes results from two separate surveys. Between December 2012 and March 2013, 169 organizations, representing a cross-section of public and private sector organizations and all major industry categories, participated in Signal49 Research’s Canadian HR Trends and Metrics survey. In addition, the report includes data from the Center for Effective Organizations’ HR Global Study led by Ed Lawler and John Boudreau. Seventy Canadian organizations responded to this survey in August 2013.
