Canadian business leaders have had an up-and-down year in terms of optimism. The second quarter was the culmination of three consecutive quarters of warming optimism, and it saw Signal49 Research’s Index of Business Confidence reach its highest level since 2015. After a mediocre showing in the third quarter, the index rebounded in the fourth, rising by 3.0 points to 102.3.
