For a third consecutive month, Signal49 Research’s Index of Consumer Confidence increased in March, with the national value rising 2.9 points to 88.5 (2002 = 100). While the national index is at roughly the same level it was at six months ago, the underlying trend of the index is still clearly positive.

The monthly Index of Consumer Confidence is constructed from responses to four attitudinal questions posed to a random sample of Canadian households.
