Confidence Edged Lower Again in September
The Index of Consumer Confidence slipped 6.9 points in September to 57.9 (2014 = 100). Compared with September of last year, confidence slipped 2.4 points, marking just the second year-over-year decline in 2026, following the drop recorded in January.
