The Canadian economy showed its resilience in September, creating 60,900 jobs in a period of economic uncertainty. Over 250,000 jobs have been created so far this year, with 19 of 26 census metropolitan areas (CMAs) posting job gains between December and September. But our Metro Help-Wanted Index is pointing to weaker near-term job prospects for the majority of Canada’s large cities.
