- Saint John and Trois-Rivières continue to be the only CMAs with negative short and long-term expectations.
- The CMAs with the biggest year-over-year increases in housing starts in August were Saint John, Regina, Winnipeg, Oshawa, and Vancouver.
- Given the very sharp rise of late, Halifax’s housing starts are expected to decline over the long term to align with demographic requirements
