Signal49 Research’s Territorial Forecasting Model (TFM) was used to produce three sets of economic forecasts for the Northwest Territories up to the year 2040.

The TFM produces forecasts for real GDP by industry, as well as employment by industry. It also forms the basis of our occupational demand scenarios presented in Module 6.

The basic assumptions and results of the territorial forecasting model are explained in this module, as well as the different sets of assumptions used to produce our base case and alternative low and high forecasts.
