Forecasters surveyed by Signal49 Research in April were slightly more pessimistic about Canada’s economic prospects for 2004 than respondents in the winter survey. Three months ago, forecasters expected the economy to expand by 3 per cent in 2004; in the current survey, 2.7 per cent growth was anticipated.
