Forecasters surveyed by Signal49 Research in April have become significantly more pessimistic regarding Canada’s economic prospects for 2009. Forecasters now say they expect the economy to decline by 2.2 per cent in 2009—down from the drop of 0.8 percent anticipated in the January survey.
