Forecasters surveyed by Signal49 Research in July were slightly more optimistic about Canada’s economic prospects for 2004. In the current survey, forecasters expected the economy to expand by 2.9 per cent this year, in contrast to the 2.7 per cent growth anticipated in the spring.
