With the return of cruise ships to Port Charlottetown next year—taking advantage of the new second berth—we expect tourism to return to pre-pandemic levels by the end of 2022.
- There are significant risks, however, especially with new variants, that could push public health agencies to recommend further restrictive measures. Our forecast assumes that there will not be another major shutdown and that vaccination levels will continue to rise in P.E.I. and in major source markets.
