The monthly Index of Consumer Confidence is constructed from responses to four attitudinal questions posed to a random sample of Canadian households.
Index of Consumer Confidence: June 2013
Index of Consumer Confidence: June 2013
$305.00
Driven by moderate improvements on all four questions this month, the Index of Consumer Confidence increased 2.8 points to 83.4 (2002 = 100). On a year-over-year basis, the national index is 9.5 points higher, and although the trend appears to have been generally positive over the last 12 months, the index continues to exhibit abnormally high volatility—not surprising given the many economic hiccups.
