- Seven CMAs have negative short- and long-term expectations—the most since February.
- Only 10 of 27 CMAs have positive short-term expectations.
- The CMAs with the largest declines in housing starts this month are Kingston, Trois-Rivières, St. Catharines–Niagara, Hamilton, and Abbotsford.
- Although short-term expectations remain negative in Thunder Bay, the CMA saw a huge year-over-year increase in housing starts in September.
