About

Jeremy Strachan brings deep expertise in research, stakeholder engagement, and knowledge translation. As Manager, Education & Skills at Signal49 Research, he leads the Canadian Council of College Futures, advises on skills, workforce development, and postsecondary education systems, and serves as a primary liaison with government and project partners. He also hosts and produces the Future Skills Podcast, contributing to thought leadership in education and workforce development.

Prior to joining Signal49 Research, Dr. Strachan was Project Manager of the Decolonizing Canadian Music initiative, a collaboration between Queen’s University and Canadian Heritage. He also served as Secretary of the Canadian Music Centre’s Indigenous Advisory Council, where he led a multi-organizational initiative focused on Indigenous-led redress of cultural misappropriation. Dr. Strachan has over a decade of experience teaching in postsecondary education and has held postdoctoral appointments at Queen’s University (Banting Postdoctoral Fellow), Cornell University (SSHRC Postdoctoral Fellow), and the Université de Montréal. His work reflects a strong commitment to advancing inclusive cultural policy, education, and research dissemination.
